no longer able to hold beauty within us
the light bearer brings a necessary strength
soul friend, north spirit, point of compass, ember of hope
Your presence has beckoned me to remember
to not forget the ancient path
of healing
and forgiveness
and the medicine of being kind
We each have carried the other's light
through war and endless battle
of shadow and loss
Uncertainty darkens
the still evening, the quieting glow
a bearer of light remains
silent and steadfast
guiding northward
toward truth and home
Always
the presence of light
essence within
each of us, a sacred holding
as we find our way.
